It is up to the motherboard manufacturer to determine how many PCI Express x1 slots to implement. When you boot the Kalyway I had to give up on IDE. There's PCI Express x16 support exptess a standalone videocard if you find the onboard video lacking.

Posted February 18, Plugging my dvd drive into the ide immediately solved this problem. The lesson here is that if you get this error message while trying to boot from a serial ata device it probably means that your sata isn't supported in boot. Then you can use the terminal to copy over the files to your Mac OS partition. When booting from dvd it means that the system cannot access the dvd volume. The only thing I can figure is that I need a seperate GPU, because i've seen elsewhere this does the trick. A very dreamy auto-installer. Every waiting for root device error I've ever had related to drive configuration.
